Being a bullet fan, what excites you the most when it comes to Royal Enfield? Yes, you guessed it right –the new launch. Yup, RE is once again all set to come up with some latest and exciting models for the year 2017. The latest models are expected to be equipped with loads of features including designs, style, comfortable, engine performance, price and safety & security.
As the new emission norms –BS IV are to be implemented from 1st April 2017, the Chennai-based RE bike maker confirmed that the all bikes have been upgraded according to BS IV emission norms. At the same time, there are more new to come with new exciting features in the current year. Siddhartha Lal, MD and CEO, Eicher Motors (RE’s parent company) has recently signaled that Royal Enfield is to come up with some exciting models including 750 cc under its flagships. If rumors are to be believed, the name of the bike would be Interceptor and it will come with a twin-spark engine with 45-50 bhp & 60Nm of torque.
Apart from that, a report says that the booking for new bike range has already been started in the Royal Enfield showrooms across the country. However, the delivery will be made in April next month. The new range is said to have some exclusive features like Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), front and rear disk brakes, etc. These changes have already been made in the UK series. However, it is not clear what features will be implemented in the new bike range that is to be launched in India.
Currently, Royal Enfield India sells various models under Café Racer, Cruiser, Retro Street, Standard Street and Himalayan range. Just like Classic 500 and Himalayan are upgraded with front and rear ABS system, the same and even more are expected to have with the soon-to-release bike range.
